I love this exercise of exploring pleasure Vanessa, especially as a multisensory experience. As my guides remind me, sensual means of the senses and we have become so used to not experiencing the world this way. It's a gateway to abundance, insight and creativity.
Yes, the world (the natural world, especially) is so rich and alive.... we miss out when we're not in our bodies and awake to sensual, sensory experience. I hope you enjoy the prompts and invitation if you explore them... 🌻
So true, Vanessa! Pleasure does require presence, sensory awareness, and slowing down. Thank you for the great reminders!! We must consciously stop living in the past and the future long enough so that we can experience the pleasure of the present moment. Have great present moments!
Yes, I'm happy this resonates with you. Let me know if you explore the prompts and practices. Wish you a wonderful Sunday, filled with sensory pleasures... 🌻
I really struggled with your writing prompts! I realize how long it's been since I have made pleasure a priority, and how even my understanding of pleasure is limited. So much of what we're "sold" as pleasure is really not. Thank you for this prompt - definitely a lot to explore here. I have reserved the Pleasure Activism book at the library - really excited to read it!
I look forward to hearing more about your exploration.... and so glad you got the book. It's a good one. It's unfortunate how often we're made to feel guilty for feeling pleasure and can forget that pleasure can be so simple.... and that the greatest pleasures are almost always free.
Thank you for bringing PLEASURE into the conversation. We were not given these 3D senses to feel bad and it's time we reclaim our birthright to FEELING GOOD!
